COURSE SCHEDULE
Ready to try the vegan diet? We offer teleclasses to help you succeed. Whether you just want to try the vegan diet out for a few weeks, or you know you want to commit for the long-term, our vegan challenges are for you! Please note that we believe it's important to eat a high-nutrient, low-fat, whole foods diet. There are certainly "junk food vegans" in this world, but we promote a healthy vegan diet, focusing on fruits, vegetables, beans, whole grains, nuts and seeds.
THE 4-WEEK VEGAN CHALLENGE
In the 4-week vegan challenge, you will go vegan on Day 1, and remain vegan for the whole month. Each week, our teleclasses will teach you everything from where to get your protein and calcium, to how you can deal with unsupportive family members and friends. If you miss a teleclass, you will be able to download it and listen to it later. Because this class requires you to go vegan "cold turkey" (ha ha,) we recommend it for people who either have a lot of willpower, or have already taken steps to make their diet healthier. For example, people who have already given up read meat and possibly chicken, and don't regularly eat a lot of fried, sugary or salty foods will usually do well in this class. If you currently eat the standard American diet (lots of fast food, sugary, salty, and fried foods, heavy on meat and dairy) then you should consider the 8-week challenge, which works in a stepwise fashion.
At the end of the class, your system should be cleansed, and you should experience most or all of the benefits below:
- Weight loss
- Significantly more energy
- Taste buds revert back to "normal" - you will actually crave fruits and vegetables, and will probably feel sick if you eat the old foods you were used to.
- Clearer skin
- Less congestion
- Happier disposition
THE 8-WEEK VEGAN CHALLENGE
The 8-week vegan challenge is designed for people who are either eating a very unhealthy diet at present, or for people who generally have more success when they take things in steps, rather than going cold turkey.
In the 8-week vegan challenge, you will give up meat, fish, dairy, and fatty foods slowly over the first month. In the second month, you will be eating a 100% vegan diet, focusing on high-nutrient, whole foods. At the end of the class, your system should be cleansed, and you should experience most or all of the benefits below:
- Weight loss
- Significantly more energy
- Taste buds revert back to "normal" - you will actually crave fruits and vegetables, and will probably feel sick if you eat the old foods you were used to.
- Clearer skin
- Less congestion
- Happier disposition
